The Integrated Care System (ICS) with Cambridgeshire & Peterborough brings together NHS organisations and providers, local authorities and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to promote support and improve the health and wellbeing of almost a million people living locally. 

 

Health and Social Care provide physical, emotional and social support to help improve the health and wellbeing of local people throughout their lives. Both provide a wide range of services to support children, adults and older people at differing times during their lives. 

Health Care focuses on providing medical care to individuals and communities, focussing on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment and management of both physical and mental disabilities through Primary Care, Secondary Care, Community Health Services & Public Health  

Social Care deals with all forms of personal care and other practical assistant for children, young people and adults who need extra support or have difficulty performing daily activities due to illness, disability, or old age.  Activities could include shopping, laundry, and cleaning, as well as personal care such as washing, dressing, and preparing meals.
